Stanley access technologies of Farmington Ct, a manufacturer of automatic door systems, partnered with EWA to develop a part specific process for welding of anodized and painted aluminum doors. New development of wave shaping TIG systems provided the platform for welding through difficult coatings. The reduced heat signature provided allowed door rails to be welded after paint applications as well as through anodizing, decreased manufacturing stops and increasing total part through put times.
